HeartCry has linked arms with New Hope’s Thailand Mission Team and Asian Alliance International (AAI), to provide for immediate needs as well as ongoing encouragement and support to (1) Burmese orphans and refugees; and (2) orphaned children in Thailand.
As a result of gifts from HeartCry, Asian Alliance International was able to purchase a four wheeled drive truck that is being used to transport needed supplies such as food and medication to orphaned children and refugees whom are residing in an internally displaced camp along the Thailand and Burmese Border. These children have been orphaned as a result of war, genocide and preventable diseases. This vehicle has proved “life saving” in that it has transported numerous children with Malaria and other deadly but preventable diseases to local hospitals.

Over the past few years, the New Hope Mission’s Team to Thailand has traveled to two different King’s Schools: one located in Chaing Mai and the other located in Mae Hong Son, Thailand. These schools are attended by both true orphans and “poverty orphans.” During these trips, we hold VBS events, English as a second language classes, sports clinics and small construction projections. In 2009, new playground equipment was installed in Mae Hong Son. Our efforts are focused on encouraging and discipling the ever growing group of Christian students on the campuses in their effort to reach out to those around them and to live as Christ.
Mission Trips to Thailand are offered in the summer of every year.
