Liberia
Most recently, HeartCry partnered with Orphan Relief and Rescue, to complete a new orphanage, known as Gold Child. Through the generous donations of HeartCry supporters, Gold Child Orphanage will now have walls that are plastered, latrines, showers, bunk beds, mosquito nets, dishes, everything else they need to make a “House a Home.”
In February of 2009, HeartCry held its first book drive in an effort to combat illiteracy in Liberia. Over 1,500 books were collected and shipped to Liberia. Missionary, Ashley Stoll, organized a library for children to borrow books to further their reading skills.
